Meet the team behind aquadec aquariums
Since our foundation in 2002 in Spain, Aquadec Aquariums S.L. has grown and expanded to become a benchmark in the design and construction of aquariums internationally. We began our career recreating seabeds for L’Aquàrium in Barcelona and the Zooaquarium in Madrid, and today, we work on turnkey projects in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, the USA and Central America. Our team of experts is the heart of every project we carry out.

JAIME SÁNCHEZ-CÁMARA
FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR
Jaime is a Doctor in Marine Biology and a Graduate in Marine Sciences, with more than 25 years of experience. experience in the public aquarium sector. He has played key roles as Aquarist of the Sydney Aquarium, Quarantine Manager at the Barcelona Aquarium and Curator at the SEA Singapore Aquarium (World's Largest Aquarium, Guinness Book 2013). Under his leadership, Aquadec has become a globally recognized company.
DOLORS CAMPOS VALERA
PROJECT DIRECTOR
Dolors has a degree in Marine Sciences and a Higher Technician in Environmental Chemistry. Before joining to Aquadec in 2015, she worked on marine biodiversity studies at the University of the Azores. In Aquadec, she is responsible for project management, ensuring that each one is carried out with maximum efficiency and quality.
Uly Sánchez-Cámara
Aquarium maintenance
Uly has a degree in Marine Sciences from the University of Barcelona and, like his father, passionate by the sea and aquariums since he was little. He is responsible for the maintenance of aquariums that Aquadec performed throughout Catalonia
Ivan Sánchez-Cámara
Conceptual designer and 3D modeler
Ivan is an artist who has studied virtual environment design at the UDIT university, Madrid. He is responsible for carrying out the concepts and modeling so that you can preview your project.
Brahim Yejjou
Aquarium decoration manager
With extensive experience in decoration using materials such as plaster or mortar as well as wide With experience in construction, Brahim has unmatched skill and artistic ability. He is responsible, among other jobs, for the comprehensive renovation of all the aquariums at L'Aquàrium de Barcelona
